Shortly after forming in July of 2010, Decoder announced their signing to Rise Records and quickly entered the studio with producer Matt Malpass (Manchester Orchestra, Reliant K, Lydia, Copeland). The band released their album on January, 18th 2011 to great reception, debuting at #44 on the Billboard Top Heat Seekers Chart, appearing on the Billboard Uncharted at #21, and receiving a final verdict of 86% and a member’s rating of 92% on AbsolutePunk.net. The band consists of members from other prominent Florida and Rise Records bands. Jack Burns after parting ways with his current band (Oceana) contacted Brent Guistwite, whose band (Of Machines) disbanded, about starting a new project. With a sound and concept in mind they contacted original Oceana vocalist Keith Jones and original VersaEmerge vocalist Spencer Pearson. Shortly after they found Bryce Sipes to play bass and Anthony Sepe as second guitarist. The band recently returned from their first tour with Chiodos, Emarosa, and Go Radio. The band has many more tours on the horizon and big plans in 2012 including Warped Tour, Bamboozle, Soundwave Festival in Australia, SXSW, and even a Japan Tour.
